In life, there are just a few things that are worth doing.
---
But sometimes the world is not ready to receive
---
that, which we are able to offer it.

--
This story tells of the journey of one man
---
which enabled him to keep his magical gift
---
and to rediscover for himself
---
what is worth doing for him in life.

---
From the director of that masterpiece of European animation
---
"The Triplets of Belleville", Sylvain Chomet.

---

The animation, backgrounds, colors, and musical score look superb. I'm hoping there's a great story behind all this talented artwork. Here's rooting for "The Illusionist".

Thanks for the translation. After reading this I realized I was able to get what they were saying through the emotion of the visuals even though I can't read Russian.

I worked on the film. It is about the disillusionment of an artist. It is meant to be poignant. Very old-fashioned in it's approach and unique for that reason.
